Nobody knows what they’re doing. At best, they’re making well-informed decisions based on their own experience. But even then, there is no guarantee or hard evidence for anything.
My first experience with coding was pretty bad. It was way back, during my IT apprenticeship. I don't remember the exact name of the module but it was an introduction to programming with Java.
There are a few things I wish I had known back when I started working for myself. Here are 5 pieces of advice I would give my younger self if I had to start over again:

I’m a slow learner. I pick up new things quickly, which somewhat contradicts the statement above. But only if I'm able to learn by doing it myself.
I remember when I got my hands on "The 4-Hour Work Week" by Tim Ferris. It was the gateway drug into my own personal self-improvement journey.
Managing my time is just as important to me as knowing the ins and outs of my finances. Time is money, after all.
We all agree on the importance of finding someone who can professionally guide us. A mentor. But oftentimes, especially early in our career, we haven't found that person yet.
