30 Posts In 30 Days – Day 25: One Person Business

This is Day 25 of the 30 Posts In 30 Days Challenge I set for myself to start writing online. This post was originally published on X.

“You have a $100,000 product in your head.”

It was at the end of 2022 when I first stumbled upon that sentence, while aimlessly browsing through the web.

It was the title of the latest article from a blog by a guy called Dan Koe (you might have heard of him).

His take on how to turn knowledge into a business, and how we all have it in our heads already, really resonated with me.

To put it mildly.

A one-person business.

At this point, I’ve been working for myself for about 7.5 years.

That’s a long time.

I took that step way earlier in my life than most people probably do.

And I’m really glad I did, even though I didn’t know what I was doing back then.

Things were going great.

I had everything I needed.

Over the years I was able to build a career around my desired lifestyle.

This gave me the freedom I was always looking for.

And in a way, I felt like, “I made it”.

But something was missing.

I neglected it for too long until I wasn’t able to ignore it any longer.

I realized that I felt stuck.

  • I didn’t know where to go next.
  • I lost my sense of direction.
  • I lacked a vision.

I’m not sure if I have grown too comfortable, too scared, or too distracted to make a change in my life for so long.

Until I read that article.

And suddenly something changed.

Dan’s ideas gave me a completely new perspective

Not just on business but on life in general.

I didn’t realize back then that this was the beginning of a long and thorough transformation.

And I still have a very long way to go.

So far it’s been a long and hard journey and I’m still in the middle of it.

But nothing worth having comes easy.

It’s a relief to know that I’m not alone.

We’re all in this together.

And it’s good to have you on my side!
